Armenia: Ancient Culture, Enduring Faith

Armenia is an ancient culture that can trace her roots back to over 4,000 years ago, her lineage coming from Noah's son Japheth, and her location to the area surrounding Mt. Ararat, the resting place of Noah's Ark. As the first nation to adopt Christianity as their country's religion beginning in 301 AD, the Armenians have had an enduring faith and hope in Christ that has sustained them through unprecedented challenges that continue up to the present time. In the exhibit Armenia: Ancient Culture, Enduring Faith, you will learn about the long and rich history, culture, and Christian faith of the Armenian people. Often described as the Christian Israel, you will learn how God has guided and preserved Armenia and Armenians from extinction against all odds and how their Christian faith is the basis for their hope.
