‘The intelligence can only be led by desire.’ The Journey of Simone Weil

This exhibit reconstructs the human and intellectual journey of Simone Weil, who, starting from a very secular background, came to discover the religious dimension by pursuing with great purity her desire for justice. Her encounter with Christ was the fulfillment of a deeply personal quest for the truth. After dabbling in revolutionary politics, she discovered humanity's great philosophical and religious traditions and the reality of the supernatural. Her story illustrates how the longing for God is indestructible in the human heart and how the Mystery answers it in unexpected ways.
