Patrick J. Deneen

Patrick J. Deneen is Professor of Political Science and the David A. Potenziani Memorial College Chair of Constitutional Studies at the University of Notre Dame. He is the author of four books, co-editor of three volumes, and numerous articles, including Why Liberalism Failed, published in 2018 by Yale University Press. His scholarly interests include ancient, modern, and American political thought; religion and politics; literature and politics; and democratic and liberal theory.
