A Fragment of Being
A discussion on the corporal dimension of human identity in an age of virtual reality, with Christine Rosen, Senior Fellow at the American Enterprise Institute, and Carter Snead, Professor of Law, University of Notre Dame, moderated by Paolo Carozza, Professor of Law, University of Notre Dame
A troubling cultural trend is a vision of humanity that invites us to obliterate the corporeal dimension of our being through the application of increasingly invasive and sophisticated technologies. The speakers have explored this issue and its negative repercussions and will dialogue on the need to rediscover the bodily component of our human identity amid growing virtual realities.
